Today Matilda & Me Get Fit!
Right-It’s Time to Get Fit & Healthy!
At the weekend I decided that I’d had a enough Easter eggs to last a lifetime and I was starting to look like the Easter Bunny!
So the decision was made- Monday (Today) I was going to start my healthy eating and fitness plan for 2017 with the help of Matilda and Joe ‘The Body Coach’ Wicks!
So I got up early, did some stretches, drank 500 ml of water and made myself a Body Coach Chunky Monkey Smoothie- Yummy Yummy!
You’ll find this recipe in Lean in 15 The Shape Plan by Joe Wicks
Chunky monkey smoothie
½ banana, peeled and roughly chopped
½ tbsp cacao powder
1 ½ tbsp peanut butter
250ml almond milk
1 scoop (30g) chocolate protein powder ( I tend to use Vanilla Protein Powder- which tastes good too!)
2 tsp sesame seeds
How to Make a Chunky Monkey Smoothie Shake
Off next to Piliates with our fabulous instructor Lynne. She makes stretching and working core muscles great fun!
I’m throughly relaxed, stretched and slightly achey after lots of leg exercises this morning! Now time for Matilda & Me to go for a walk.
It’s a beautiful morning, slightly chilly, but Matilda is eager to get going! She always pulls me down the hill as she wants to run everywhere ( Well she is only 18 months old after all!- still just a baby!)
We had a very brisk walk to see the donkeys (forgot to take a photo- will do next time) and then a run around the field doing HITT Training
30 seconds running like a looney (I’m good at the looney bit, not so good a the running bit!) and then 45 seconds rest. Did this for 4 repetations.
Now this sounds quite easy, but it wasn’t as easy due to Matilda thinking that I was playing a catch me game. So whilst I was trying to run across the field Matilda was trying to catch me and stop me going any further- several times I nearly fell on her! Mad Dog- I’m sure the farmers must think- Oh it’s that crazy lady with the mad dog again!!
Off home now to do some cool down stretches, drink lots more water and get some work done!!
See you tomorrow
